Electrical Engineer

About this role

ALTEN Technology USA seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to design and develop electronics systems across aerospace, medical devices, and autonomous vehicles. You'll lead hardware architecture and PCB design from concept through verification while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and occasionally support business development activities.

What you'll do

• Design hardware architectures, power budgets, block diagrams, schematics, and PCBs for diverse markets
• Conduct PCB layout, bring-up, debug, and documentation with full ownership of designs
• Participate in regular design reviews and coordinate with cross-functional team members
• Troubleshoot and debug PCB assemblies using lab test equipment
• Support sales team with project bidding, scoping, and occasional customer site visits
• Travel occasionally to customer locations for project kickoffs or deliveries

What they're looking for

• Microcontroller, processor, and FPGA embedded systems design
• High-speed channel and RF design (10GbE, 802.11, SerDes, PCIe)
• Communications interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART, USB, CAN, etc.)
• DC/DC converter and power topology design
• EMI/EMC and signal integrity analysis
• Analog and sensor interface design
• PCB troubleshooting with oscilloscopes and logic analyzers
• Schematic and PCB layout tools
