Interior Devices and Sensors Design and Release Engineer

About this role

ALTEN Technology USA seeks a Design and Release Engineer to manage the development, testing, and release of integrated Center Stack switchbank components for automotive applications. The role involves cross-functional collaboration with suppliers and global teams to ensure compliance with specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements throughout the product lifecycle.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and validate integrated Center Stack switchbank components to meet all specifications
• Manage suppliers and oversee DFMEA, design validation reports, and quality planning activities
• Release components through change management systems and coordinate global commonality across regions
• Lead reactive quality problem-solving and support supplier process sign-offs and PFMEA reviews
• Root cause and resolve launch, production, and quality issues using global issues management systems
• Interface with stakeholders to define component and vehicle-level functional specifications

• Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) and Shainin Red X quality tools
• Teamcenter CAE and injection mold tooling knowledge
• Leadership and supplier team management
• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
