Interior Systems Engineer, Center Consoles
About this role
ALTEN Technology USA seeks an Interior Systems Engineer to lead the concept development and detailed design of vehicle cabin systems for center consoles. This role involves designing innovative interior components, managing system requirements, and collaborating cross-functionally from initial concept through production launch.
What you'll do
- Create interior system requirements and specifications while developing geometry and engineering execution with design, supply chain, and core teams
- Develop 3D geometry and innovative design concepts that address crash load cases while balancing manufacturing methods and materials
- Optimize designs using analytical and physical assessments to ensure compliance with federal regulations
- Implement GD&T standards to deliver world-class craftsmanship and fit/finish
- Develop and drive novel construction techniques and materials toward production feasibility
- Support presentations and communications with Studio, Packaging, Manufacturing, and Supplier teams
