Mechanical Engineer II - Structural Analysis

About this role

ALTEN Technology USA seeks a Mechanical Engineer II to perform structural and dynamic finite element analysis on mechanical and electromechanical components for aerospace, medical, automotive, and other advanced technology sectors. You'll work independently or with senior engineers on complex analysis projects, design reviews, and cross-functional collaboration while supporting the full product development lifecycle.

What you'll do

• Conduct FEA analysis for static and dynamic loads using Femap with NX Nastran, including solid and shell meshing approaches
• Develop design inputs, perform hand calculations, and support engineering design decisions
• Lead or participate in design reviews and identify product risks and mitigation strategies
• Estimate project scope, duration, and provide inputs to planning, budgeting, and scheduling
• Communicate with vendors, internal teams, and customers; assist in sales quoting for future projects
• Compile engineering documentation ensuring regulatory compliance and coordinate across mechanical, electrical, systems, and software engineering disciplines
