Requirements Management Engineer

About this role

ALTEN Technology USA seeks a Requirements Management Engineer to define, document, and maintain system requirements for aerospace projects while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards like DO-178C and DO-254. You'll manage traceability across the development lifecycle, support verification and validation activities, and utilize tools like IBM DOORS to streamline processes in a safety-critical environment.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define, document, and organize system, software, and hardware requirements
• Maintain full traceability between requirements, design artifacts, implementation, and verification results
• Ensure requirements comply with aerospace standards (DO-178C, DO-254, AS9100, ARP4754A) and manage change impacts
• Support verification and validation activities to confirm requirements are measurable, testable, and satisfied
• Utilize requirements management tools (IBM DOORS, Windchill RV&S) to track compliance and streamline workflows
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and occasional travel (<10%) for project and audit support
