System Development Engineer- Low Voltage

About this role

ALTEN Technology USA seeks a System Development Engineer for Low Voltage Systems to lead complex engineering projects from design through production. You'll drive issue resolution, manage supplier relationships, and coordinate across engineering teams while leveraging your expertise in product lifecycle management and systems development.

What you'll do

• Execute end-to-end release actions for electronic components in the Product Lifecycle Management system (3DX)
• Drive engineering teams to resolve design issues and contain risks to protect production schedules
• Manage open issues lists and ensure timely, high-quality closure across internal and external projects
• Maintain supplier relationships and coordinate deliveries for build events
• Present technical information and recommendations to diverse audiences from team to executive level
• Collaborate with engineers and suppliers to design, procure, and build physical test assets

• Complex systems development and product lifecycle management
• CAD design (Catia and 3D Experience preferred) with FEA and 2D drawing capabilities
• Mechanical and electromechanical systems design and release
• Jira, Confluence, and JAMA requirements management
• Project management tools (Smartsheet or MS Project)
• Cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder communication
• Risk management and trade-off analysis
• Product development from concept through production launch
