Systems Engineer

ALTEN Technology USA seeks a Systems Engineer in Berkeley to design and integrate large-scale energy storage systems by defining technical requirements, managing interfaces across engineering disciplines, and ensuring reliable system operation. This role bridges subsystem designs with product architecture while supporting clean energy initiatives.

What you'll do

• Define and manage system-level requirements, functional specifications, and interface control documents for battery system architecture
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and firmware teams to integrate subsystem designs and meet performance targets
• Lead system-level validation and integration testing with comprehensive test plans
• Perform trade-off analyses to optimize system performance, cost, and manufacturability
• Conduct root cause analysis for complex system failures and implement engineering solutions
• Decompose requirements from system-level to component-level with full traceability
