Power BI Developer

About this role

AIR's Tek Office seeks an experienced Power BI Developer to design and implement enterprise analytics solutions, including dashboards, reports, and semantic models that support data-driven decision-making across the organization. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders, optimizing data workflows, and ensuring operational excellence for BI platforms in a hybrid work environment (3 days/week in Arlington, VA).

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and manage Power BI solutions including semantic models, dashboards, and reports across business domains
• Partner with stakeholders to translate requirements into user stories and reusable reporting patterns
• Create dimensional data models using best practices and write optimized DAX for performance
• Build and maintain data ingestion and transformation workflows using Power Query, SQL, and Microsoft Fabric
• Implement security, governance, and monitoring practices including refresh reliability and performance optimization
• Mentor junior developers and support user adoption through training and best practices
