Applied AI Engineer

About this role

Amigo is seeking a Forward Deployed AI Engineer to build and deploy production AI agents for healthcare workflows. You'll implement agent architectures, optimize configurations, design verification systems, and collaborate with customers to validate performance—while exploring career paths into product, sales engineering, software engineering, or applied AI leadership.

What you'll do

• Implement context graphs and agent configurations to enable dynamic reasoning modes based on problem complexity
• Design bounded Operational Patient Domains with explicit capabilities, inclusions, exclusions, and escalation rules
• Build verification loops, evaluation suites, and simulation-based testing to validate agents against customer KPIs
• Write Python code for tool integrations, API orchestration, and adversarial testing within customer environments
• Collaborate with domain experts to capture clinical reasoning patterns and systematize implementation across problem domains
• Support technical workflows and ensure agents maintain audit-ready provenance with version control and evidence tracking
