Forward Deployed Engineer

About this role

Ampersand, a Series A-backed integration infrastructure platform for AI, seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to implement their technology directly within customer environments. You'll combine hands-on coding, technical advisory, and partnership skills to deliver successful deployments while feeding learnings back to the product team.

What you'll do

• Lead end-to-end technical implementations with strategic customers from discovery through adoption
• Write production-quality code within customer codebases and unfamiliar environments
• Provide technical recommendations on integrations, scalability, and long-term operability
• Surface product gaps, bugs, and patterns discovered in the field to the core engineering team
• Serve as a technical thought partner and trusted advisor to customer teams
• Convert customer-specific solutions into reusable documentation, examples, and product improvements
