Solutions Engineer

About this role

Andromeda, an AI infrastructure startup, seeks a Solutions Engineer to lead technical discovery and proof-of-concepts for customers deploying large-scale AI training and inference. You'll partner with sales to qualify opportunities, deliver compelling demos, and translate customer needs into technical validation across the company's hardware and software stack.

What you'll do

• Lead technical discovery with customers and design evaluation plans aligned to success criteria
• Design and deliver tailored product demos for technical and executive audiences
• Own end-to-end POC processes including scope definition, success metrics, architecture, and production handoffs
• Build relationships with customer engineering leaders, platform teams, and infrastructure owners
• Create solution designs mapping technical requirements to business outcomes (latency, cost, reliability, security)
• Develop enablement assets and provide product feedback based on customer interactions

What they're looking for

• 5+ years customer-facing technical experience with 2+ years in pre-sales (Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect)
• Deep knowledge of AI/ML infrastructure, GPU systems, and HPC environments
• Understanding of LLM training, fine-tuning, and inference
• Python and JavaScript proficiency with API prototyping experience
• Kubernetes, SLURM, Docker, and infrastructure automation (Ansible, IaC)
• Technical communication skills for diverse audiences
• Ability to influence complex sales cycles and run evaluations end-to-end
