Building Engineer

About this role

Anduril Industries seeks an experienced Building Engineer to manage and maintain HVAC/R systems and general facilities at their Waltham manufacturing facility. This role requires deep expertise in industrial heating, cooling, and refrigeration equipment while supporting production operations in a fast-paced defense technology environment.

What you'll do

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on chillers, cooling towers, air handling units, and refrigeration equipment
• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and control issues in HVAC/R systems using advanced troubleshooting techniques
• Operate and optimize building management and automation systems (BMS/BAS) to maintain environmental setpoints
• Respond to facilities emergencies and coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs
• Manage work orders through CMMS, track equipment history, and maintain spare parts inventory
• Support general building maintenance including electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and compressed air systems
