Data Engineer, Infrastructure FinOps

About this role

Anduril Industries seeks an experienced Data Engineer to design and scale next-generation data platforms that process massive datasets across the organization. You'll architect robust ETL/ELT pipelines using cloud technologies, apply software engineering best practices, and collaborate with data scientists and engineers to unlock critical business insights in a fast-paced defense tech environment.

What you'll do

• Design and build scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines for petabyte-scale data using BigQuery, Databricks, or Palantir Foundry
• Architect well-structured data models and schemas optimized for analytical querying and application use
• Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and alerting to proactively identify and resolve data issues
• Develop reusable frameworks and tools following software engineering best practices like version control and CI/CD
• Troubleshoot and optimize performance bottlenecks in data processing and storage layers
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions

• Python programming

• Data modeling and ETL/ELT design patterns
• Cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
• Docker and Kubernetes containerization

• Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform (preferred)
