About this role

Anduril Industries seeks a Design Engineer specializing in DFM/DFA to develop manufacturable mechanical designs for autonomous defense systems. You'll lead components and assemblies from concept through production, collaborating closely with manufacturing teams to ensure rapid scalability and mission readiness across air, land, and maritime platforms.

What you'll do

  • Apply DFM and DFA principles throughout product development to optimize production throughput, cost, and reliability
  • Design parts and assemblies using welding, CNC machining, injection molding, composites, and adhesive joining processes
  • Author and release fully-defined engineering drawings with ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards
  • Develop manufacturing documentation, work instructions, and assembly guides for production floor execution
  • Perform tolerance stack-up analyses, design reviews, and DFMEAs to identify and mitigate manufacturing risks
  • Mentor junior engineers in drawing standards, GD&T application, and manufacturing best practices
