About this role
Anduril Industries seeks an Early Career Flight Test Engineer to evaluate the Altius autonomous UAS platform's software and hardware capabilities for ISR missions. You'll plan and execute flight tests, manage configurations, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure the system meets performance and reliability standards for military operations.
What you'll do
- Plan, execute, and report on flight tests for software and hardware evaluation under minimal supervision
- Manage test site operations, pre/post-flight briefings, and coordinate with pilots, engineers, and operations teams
- Develop test plans and reports assessing system functionality, safety risks, and logistical requirements
- Maintain configuration management of test assets, hardware components, payloads, and fleet maintenance tracking
- Operate the Altius UAS during system evaluation testing and collect sortie metrics and performance data
- Interface with hardware and software engineering teams to adjudicate issues and report test findings
