About this role

Anduril Industries seeks an experienced EMC Design Engineer to develop electromagnetic compatibility solutions for autonomous air vehicle systems. You'll conduct EMI/EMC testing, design mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with military and industry standards while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced defense technology environment.

What you'll do

  • Conduct EMI/EMC testing and analysis on electronic systems and components
  • Develop and implement design strategies to mitigate electromagnetic interference issues
  • Prepare test plans, reports, and documentation for compliance verification
  • Collaborate with product design teams to integrate EMC requirements early in design
  • Identify program risks and define modeling, simulation, or experimental mitigation strategies
  • Conduct field tests and assessments to evaluate product performance in real-world conditions

What they're looking for

  • EMI/EMC design and testing (3+ years)
  • Military and regulatory standards (MIL-STD-461G, MIL-STD-464D, FCC, CISPR, IEC)
  • E3 design expertise (HERO, HEMP, lightning protection, ESD, RF exposure)
  • EMI/EMC testing equipment operation (spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, antennas)
  • Simulation tools (ANSYS, CST Microwave Studio)
  • PCB layout design and schematic interpretation
  • Standard interfaces (MIPI, DP, I2C, SPI, PCIe, USB)
  • Project management and multi-tasking in fast-paced environments
