EWIS Engineer

About this role

Anduril Industries seeks an experienced EWIS (Electrical Wire Interconnect System) Harness Engineer to design and integrate electrical harness systems for autonomous aerial vehicles on the Maneuver Dominance team. You'll collaborate across departments to develop reliable harnesses for advanced defense applications, managing the full lifecycle from design through production support.

What you'll do

• Design, fabricate, and integrate harness systems for autonomous aerial vehicles
• Select connectors, wire, shielding, and cable construction based on environmental requirements
• Develop block diagrams and wire diagrams for production release
• Prepare assembly instructions and test procedures following industry standards
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical guidance to electrical and mechanical teams
• Support multiple concurrent projects in fast-paced development and deployment environments

• Electrical harness design (aerospace/military/industrial)
• Electrical bus interfaces (CAN, Ethernet, RS422, RS232, 1553)
• MIL-STD and harness standards knowledge
• Wire block interconnect and wire diagram interpretation
• 3D CAD harness routing (NX, CATIA, CREO preferred)
• SWaP optimization for power and communications systems
• Manufacturer coordination and quality control
• Technical communication and documentation
