Flight Test Engineer - Advanced Effects

About this role

Anduril Industries seeks an experienced flight test engineer to lead developmental testing of advanced weapon and missile systems for manned and unmanned aircraft. You'll plan and execute comprehensive ground and flight tests, manage test data analysis, and collaborate across departments to ensure system performance meets requirements.

What you'll do

• Plan and execute system-level testing of hardware and software with focus on resource planning and process improvement
• Lead or support developmental, certification, and integration testing of missile and weapon systems
• Collect and analyze test data from ground and flight operations at various test ranges
• Develop test plans, test cards, technical updates, and comprehensive test reports
• Coordinate with program management and engineering teams on requirements and test results
• Ensure safety compliance with established operating procedures during all test activities

What they're looking for

• Developmental test and evaluation (T&E) of aircraft weapons and missile systems
• Knowledge of military standards (MIL-STD-8591, MIL-STD-2088, MIL-STD-1553, MIL-STD-1760, AS8775, AS5653)
• Suspension, arming, and release equipment integration and testing
• National Airspace System and UAS regulations expertise
• Data analysis and technical documentation
• Test planning, execution, and reporting
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Complex problem-solving and independent decision-making
