About this role

Anduril Industries seeks a senior Algorithm Developer to architect cutting-edge GPS-denied navigation solutions for autonomous aerial platforms. You'll develop vision-based navigation, sensor fusion, and advanced localization algorithms that transition rapidly from concept to flight-tested systems in contested environments.

What you'll do

  • Design and validate GPS-denied navigation algorithms including vision-based navigation, map matching, and sensor fusion
  • Drive algorithm development from theory through simulation, hardware-in-the-loop testing, and field flight validation
  • Collaborate with computer vision, flight software, and simulation teams to integrate navigation solutions
  • Analyze flight test data across multiple platforms to identify performance gaps and refine algorithms
  • Contribute to Anduril's technical capabilities in collaborative navigation and precision terminal guidance
  • Mentor junior engineers and establish best practices in algorithm design and validation

What they're looking for

  • State estimation and sensor fusion techniques
  • Kalman filtering (Error-State, Invariant Filters)
  • Vision-based navigation and computer vision
  • Terrain contour matching (TERCOM) and map matching
  • Multi-sensor fusion (IMU, EO/IR, radar, star trackers)
  • Control theory and dynamic systems
  • Flight test analysis and data interpretation
  • C++ or Python for algorithm implementation
