About this role
Anduril Industries seeks an experienced Instrumentation Engineer to support the development and testing of Omen, an autonomous tail-sitter aircraft. You'll design and implement comprehensive data measurement systems for ground and flight testing, from sensor selection through real-time monitoring and post-processing across all integration environments.
What you'll do
- Specify and build end-to-end physical and electrical measurement systems including sensors, data acquisition, telemetry, and post-processing tools
- Design, assemble, and commission test racks, harnesses, and equipment for various integration environments
- Instrument HIL/HITL testbeds and flight test platforms, including high-voltage powertrain systems
- Install, calibrate, and support ground and flight instrumentation for prototype and production Omen systems
- Maintain configuration control of instrumentation across fixed and flying environments
- Support Test Readiness Reviews and champion safety in experimental testing environments
What they're looking for
- Test instrumentation and telemetry design
- Sensor selection and calibration (strain gauges, thermocouples, Hall Effect sensors, etc.)
- Data acquisition systems (NI DAQ, C-W Acra)
- Electronics troubleshooting and diagnostics (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers)
- Protocol expertise (CAN, Ethernet, Serial)
- Flight test experience with Group 3+ UAS platforms
- High-voltage/power systems familiarity
- Software tools (LabVIEW, Grafana, Nominal, Flexlogger)
