About this role
Anduril Industries seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to manage the production value chain for infrared imaging products on second shift (3 PM - 11 PM). You'll optimize supply chain operations, oversee contract manufacturers, and drive production scalability while working hands-on with technicians to deliver mission-critical defense hardware.
What you'll do
- Own manufacturing value chain for assigned products, ensuring production capability meets business output goals
- Evaluate and prioritize supply chain, production, and test optimizations for reliability and efficiency
- Develop business cases for vertical integration and strategic sourcing opportunities
- Manage relationships with contract manufacturers and resolve production issues at partner facilities
- Collaborate with technicians and engineers to build prototypes and production hardware
- Create manufacturing documentation and reduce complexity through component rationalization

- Process Engineering or Industrial Engineering
- Electromechanical hardware design and manufacturing
- Supply chain and sourcing strategy
- Hands-on manufacturing experience (machining, fabrication, assembly)
- Problem-solving in resource-constrained environments
- ISO 9001/AS 9100 quality systems knowledge
- Optical system integration and test
- Technical documentation and communication
