Maritime Technical Operations Engineer

About this role

Anduril Industries seeks a Maritime Technical Operations Engineer to support global deployment and field operations of autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs). This role combines hands-on technical expertise with customer-facing support, troubleshooting, training, and feedback integration across subsea robotics platforms in dynamic, often austere environments.

What you'll do

• Deploy globally to support customer-fielded AUV operations and ensure successful product employment
• Perform hands-on troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and operation of AUVs in the field
• Lead mission planning and data collection while serving as a product expert for customers
• Liaise between customers, engineering, and operations teams to resolve technical issues
• Develop and deliver training materials and specialized instruction for customer teams
• Gather customer feedback and integrate insights into documentation and product improvements

• 3+ years operating at-sea robotic systems or AUVs
• AUV maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair expertise
• Linux and command-line interface proficiency
• Problem-solving in hardware, software, and networking environments
• Technical documentation and customer communication
• Deck operations and ship-based launch/recovery systems
• Electronics troubleshooting and test equipment use
• Subsea sensor integration and acoustic systems knowledge
