Mass Properties Engineer, Air Vehicles

About this role

Anduril Industries seeks a Mass Properties Engineer to develop and manage weight, center of gravity, and inertia data for advanced air vehicles and missile platforms. You'll support the full development lifecycle from concept through flight test, ensuring mechanical systems meet performance and resilience requirements for contested environments.

What you'll do

• Develop, track, and maintain mass properties data throughout air vehicle design phases
• Estimate, calculate, measure, and verify weight, balance, and inertia for components and complete systems
• Define mass properties requirements and provide trade study guidance for vehicle configurations
• Generate mass properties reports and author Weights and Balance Manuals
• Support weight and balance control efforts at vehicle and subsystem levels
• Develop and maintain mass properties accounting systems and implement new processes
