Mechanical Engineer

About this role

Anduril Industries seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design and develop advanced defense hardware from concept through production. You'll lead technical efforts on complex systems integrating thermal solutions, RF hardware, and electronics while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

What you'll do

• Own hardware design lifecycle from requirements through low-rate production handoff
• Perform hand calculations and FEA analysis to develop and optimize mechanical designs
• Build prototypes, execute testing plans, and troubleshoot design and manufacturing issues
• Integrate PCBAs, thermal solutions, and RF hardware into cohesive mechanical systems
• Support customer-facing hardware demonstrations and incorporate feedback into designs
• Travel to test sites as needed for validation and customer support

• CAD proficiency (NX, Solidworks, or similar)
• FEA and mechanical analysis
• GD&T and engineering drawing standards
• Thermal management and EMI constraint design
• PCBA and electronics integration
• Manufacturing processes (CNC, composites, sheet metal, 3D printing)
• Cross-functional collaboration with electrical and software engineers
• Hands-on fabrication and prototyping
