About this role
Anduril Industries seeks a Mechanical Engineer to develop autonomous underwater vehicles and advanced maritime systems. You'll manage the complete product lifecycle from design through delivery, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to create innovative solutions for defense applications.
What you'll do
- Design, prototype, and integrate electromechanical systems across full product lifecycle
- Evaluate mechanical solutions for user value, manufacturability, cost, and reliability
- Engage with end-users to understand requirements and incorporate feedback
- Lead complex subsystems including requirements definition, design, and implementation
- Navigate trade-offs between competing constraints, timelines, and quality factors
- Travel to test sites, vendor facilities, and customer locations (up to 20%)
