About this role
Anduril Industries seeks a Mechanical Engineer to develop portable command and control systems for aerial robotic platforms. You'll own core product development with high autonomy, collaborating across disciplines to design and test complex electro-mechanical systems for military applications.
What you'll do
- Execute rapid concept evaluation and perform trade studies on advanced engineering problems
- Design, implement, and test complex electro-mechanical systems with high system ownership
- Lead design reviews, conduct analysis, and execute hardware test plans
- Build prototypes, analyze failures, and transition projects to production
- Support customer demonstrations and travel to test sites as needed
- Collaborate with ground and air vehicle integration teams
What they're looking for
- CAD and mechanical design
- Manufacturing methods (machining, sheet metal, composites, 3D printing, injection molding)
- Engineering first principles and physics-based analysis
- Reading and interpreting schematics and wiring diagrams
- Structural, thermal, and electrical analysis
- Hands-on prototyping and troubleshooting
- Aircraft subsystem design (preferred)
- MIL-STD requirements and military standards (preferred)
