About this role
Anduril Industries seeks an MSA Engineer to design and operate Hardware-In-The-Loop (HITL) simulation environments for autonomous aerial vehicles. You'll develop high-fidelity vehicle models, manage real-time simulation infrastructure, and support flight control and autonomy software testing with physical avionics hardware before live flights.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, and maintain HITL simulation infrastructure including real-time vehicle models and avionics emulation
- Own end-to-end configuration and operation of SITL/HITL environments for test vehicles
- Coordinate HITL test campaigns with flight test teams to validate algorithms before live flights
- Develop emulated interfaces for onboard avionics systems to enable closed-loop hardware testing
- Troubleshoot real-time simulation issues including timing, hardware interfaces, and model fidelity
- Support pre-flight validation and post-flight data analysis to improve model accuracy
What they're looking for
- Hardware-In-The-Loop (HITL) simulation and real-time systems
- Aerospace systems modeling and simulation
- Flight control and guidance, navigation, control (GNC) software
- Avionics integration and emulation
- Software coding and integration practices
