NPI Engineer, Actuators

About this role

Anduril Industries seeks an NPI Engineer to lead the development and production launch of automated manufacturing lines for actuator systems. You'll drive process innovation, optimize production efficiency, and bridge design and manufacturing to deliver military-grade electromechanical products at scale.

What you'll do

• Develop automated manufacturing and pilot production lines from concept through full-scale deployment
• Design and execute design-of-experiments to optimize process parameters and manufacturability
• Establish design-manufacturing partnerships to enhance automation readiness before product release
• Improve yield, throughput, and equipment availability while reducing costs and lead times
• Oversee installation, qualification, and production ramp of development equipment
• Create machine specifications, technical standards, and manufacturing documentation

• Manufacturing process development and optimization
• Actuator and electric motor design expertise
• CAD software (NX) and design for manufacturability
• Mechanical and electromechanical systems engineering
• Design of experiments (DoE) methodology
• Equipment specification and qualification
• Python, MATLAB, or C/C++ (preferred)
• Project management and technical documentation
