Packaging Engineer, Sentry

About this role

Anduril Industries seeks a Packaging Engineer to develop protective packaging solutions for advanced defense hardware systems. This role owns the complete lifecycle of packaging design—from concept through production—while collaborating with hardware, manufacturing, and logistics teams to meet demanding defense requirements.

What you'll do

• Lead packaging development from concept to production, delivering solutions that balance protection, cost, quality, and sustainability
• Own packaging design execution, validation, supplier coordination, and resolve technical issues across the Sentry product family
• Create detailed packaging documentation including CAD models, drawings, specifications, and work instructions
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure packaging feasibility, tooling readiness, and production alignment
• Apply DFM/DFA and value engineering principles to optimize protection, manufacturability, and cost
• Support prototype builds, pilot runs, and production ramp while driving continuous improvement and cost savings
