About this role
Anduril Industries seeks a Machine Learning Perception Engineer to develop and deploy production perception systems for autonomous vehicles (UAVs, USVs, UGVs). You'll own perception capabilities end-to-end—from model development and optimization to field deployment and monitoring—splitting time equally between new research and hardening existing pipelines for real-world autonomous platforms.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, and deploy perception models for detection, classification, segmentation, tracking, and sensor fusion across multiple autonomous vehicle platforms
- Optimize and deploy ML models to embedded hardware (NVIDIA Jetson/Orin) meeting real-time latency constraints
- Architect and improve CI/CD pipelines for continuous data ingestion, labeling, and model training
- Onboard new sensor modalities (EO, IR, stereo, radar, LiDAR) and integrate them end-to-end into production systems
- Monitor deployed models for performance drift and build tooling to detect and respond to field divergence
- Collaborate with hardware, systems, and program engineers to ship perception capabilities into production
What they're looking for
- Python for model development and training
- C++ or Rust for real-time embedded deployment
- PyTorch and OpenCV frameworks
- Model optimization (quantization, pruning, TensorRT, ONNX)
- Classical computer vision (calibration, homography, multi-view geometry)
- CI/CD practices and ML pipeline testing
- Robotics and autonomous vehicle experience
- Sensor fusion and multi-modal data integration
