Product Sourcing Engineer
About this role
Anduril Industries seeks a Product Sourcing Engineer to lead strategic supply chain development and cost management for rocket motor systems and defense hardware. The role combines supplier selection, cross-functional collaboration, and lifecycle cost optimization to accelerate product development from concept through production ramp.
What you'll do
- Select suppliers and manage relationships to drive product development activities including concept scoping, design trade-offs, and should-cost modeling
- Develop and consolidate manufacturing BOMs with Quality and Manufacturing teams to support internal and supplier production ramp-up
- Conduct value-stream mapping and supply chain optimization to reduce lead times and improve flexibility
- Lead cost engineering activities and total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis across product lifecycles
- Manage component qualifications, BOM risk assessments, and supplier rationalization efforts
- Handle ad-hoc cost issues including tariffs, import/export costs, and inflationary pressures
