About this role
Anduril Industries seeks a Robotics Software Engineer to develop perception and planning systems for autonomous maritime vehicles. You'll own end-to-end technical delivery of navigation, collision avoidance, and situational awareness capabilities across next-generation defense platforms.
What you'll do
- Design and implement safe navigation, collision avoidance, and situational awareness systems
- Develop scalable subsystems for sensor processing, perception, tracking, motion planning, and health management
- Apply computer vision, sensor fusion, and machine learning to enhance vehicle perception and planning
- Conduct testing and validation of algorithms through simulation and real-world field experiments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system integration and testing
- Travel up to 20% to co-locate with end-users and other teams
What they're looking for
- C++ and/or Python software development
- Computer vision, sensor fusion, SLAM, or motion planning
- Autonomous vehicle sensors (radar, sonar, LIDAR, cameras)
- Machine learning techniques
- Simulation tools (Gazebo, Unity, Unreal Engine)
- Systems engineering and technical ownership
- Validation and verification strategy development
- Team mentorship and collaboration
