About this role

Anduril Industries seeks a Signal Processing Engineer to develop discrimination algorithms for space and missile defense systems that distinguish threats from decoys and debris using EO/IR sensor data. You'll design signal processing pipelines, build physics-based models, and transition algorithms from prototype to production for real-time operational deployment.

What you'll do

  • Develop discrimination algorithms for EO/IR sensors to classify threats versus decoys, debris, and clutter in real-time
  • Design and implement signal processing pipelines including detection, feature extraction, and image processing
  • Build physics-based models and conduct modeling/simulation including Monte Carlo analysis and hardware-in-the-loop testing
  • Analyze and optimize algorithms for EO/IR sensor phenomenology and environmental effects
  • Develop analysis tools to characterize algorithm performance under countermeasures and degraded conditions
  • Collaborate with software engineers to productionize algorithms and engage with customers on mission needs

What they're looking for

  • Signal processing algorithm design and implementation
  • EO/IR sensor phenomenology and detection theory
  • Classification and discrimination algorithms
  • Image processing and feature extraction
  • Physics-based modeling and Monte Carlo simulation
  • Algorithm coding and production transition
  • Hardware-in-the-loop testing
  • Collaborative cross-functional engineering
