Anduril Industries
Software Engineer, Robotics Tracking and Fusion
About this role
Anduril Industries seeks a Software Engineer specializing in robotics tracking and sensor fusion to develop advanced algorithms for real-time target tracking and multi-sensor data integration in defense systems. You'll lead a small team, prototype state-of-the-art tracking and estimation algorithms, and deploy mission-critical solutions that transform raw sensor data into actionable intelligence.
What you'll do
- Direct technical strategy for tracking and state estimation within a small team using deep domain expertise
- Prototype and deploy advanced tracking algorithms including Kalman filters, particle filters, and multi-target tracking methods
- Develop high-performance real-time software for tactical systems, simulations, and decision support tools
- Design robust filters and probabilistic reasoning systems to extract insights from noisy or incomplete sensor data
- Validate system performance through high-fidelity simulations and rigorous statistical analysis
- Customize algorithms for mission-critical customer use cases and integrate solutions into the full software lifecycle
What they're looking for
- C/C++ and Python programming
- Kalman filtering and particle filtering techniques
- Multi-target tracking algorithms (JPDA, MHT, PHD filters)
- Bayesian filtering and sensor fusion
- Signal processing for radar, lidar, and EO/IR sensors
- Machine learning for target tracking and classification
- Big data pipelines and NoSQL databases
- Applied mathematics (linear algebra, optimization, probability)
