About this role

Anduril Industries seeks a Software Engineer to build and operate ground-side command-and-control services for real satellite missions. You'll develop backend services in Go/gRPC that manage mission planning, spacecraft commanding, telemetry ingestion, and ground-station operations while integrating with legacy defense systems and deploying to secure government cloud environments.

What you'll do

  • Design and own backend services end-to-end from API design through production deployment and operation
  • Build Space C2 stack services including command, telemetry, mission planning, ground-station brokering, and file transfer
  • Deploy and maintain containerized services on Kubernetes in secure government cloud with on-call incident response
  • Integrate software with spacecraft, radios, antenna systems, and astrodynamics infrastructure
  • Develop software-in-the-loop simulations to validate end-to-end operations before live satellite passes
  • Conduct rigorous code reviews and collaborate across teams to deliver complex functionality
