Space Special Projects, Software Engineer

About this role

Anduril Industries seeks a senior software engineer to design and deploy command-and-control systems for space operations. You'll architect modular software solutions on the Lattice platform, integrate with legacy defense systems, and enable autonomous space capabilities for DoD and Intelligence Community customers.

What you'll do

• Own end-to-end software solutions including code, testing, documentation, and operational monitoring
• Develop Space C2 and Mission Management capabilities for orbital and ground-based systems
• Integrate with existing legacy defense infrastructure to enable modern capabilities
• Lead architecture and technical direction for services or subsystems
• Partner with end-users to translate mission requirements into scalable features
• Triage issues, perform root-cause analysis, and mentor junior engineers

• Multi-language programming (Java, Python, C++, Rust, Go, JavaScript)
• Space C2 and spacecraft operations knowledge
• Distributed systems architecture and design
• Kubernetes, OpenShift, or Helm deployment experience
• Systems integration and legacy system modernization
• Debugging, monitoring, and metrics analysis
• Technical leadership and mentoring
• Complex problem-solving with minimal oversight
