Structures Design Engineer, Omen

About this role

Anduril Industries seeks a Structures Design Engineer to support development of Omen, an innovative autonomous tail-sitter aircraft. You'll perform structural analyses, develop finite element models, and collaborate across teams to deliver runway-independent aerospace systems in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll do

• Conduct static, dynamic, and buckling structural analyses on composite and metallic components using FEA and hand calculations
• Create and manage global and subsystem-level finite element models
• Support validation and flight testing including load monitoring, instrumentation, and inspection findings
• Develop technical documentation of analysis methods and results for internal and external stakeholders
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize designs based on analytical results
• Ensure designs comply with customer requirements, industry standards, and safety regulations
