Sustainment Engineer

About this role

Anduril Industries seeks a Sustainment Engineer to develop and implement comprehensive support strategies for cutting-edge defense systems. You'll own maintenance planning, technical documentation, spare parts optimization, and lifecycle management while collaborating across engineering, operations, and customer teams to ensure field readiness.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain sustainment plans for assigned defense products from the ground up
• Partner with customers, operations, and engineering teams to define and improve maintenance and repair strategies
• Provide maintenance procedures, specialized tools, and technical manuals to support field operations
• Serve as primary point of contact for sustainment issues and proactively resolve challenges
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams during product development to integrate supportability concepts
• Create and maintain Service Bill of Materials, provisioning lists, and other sustainment artifacts

• Product support and sustainment engineering (5+ years)
• Mechanical or systems engineering expertise for complex hardware
• CAD software and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools
• Integrated Product Support (IPS) principles and methodologies
• Military standards and regulatory compliance knowledge
• Maintenance Task Analysis, Level of Repair Analysis, or Reliability Centered Maintenance
• Technical Data Package development and management
• Field deployment and customer engagement capability
