About this role

Anduril is seeking a Tactical Network & Mission Systems Engineer to design and implement the unified network architecture connecting autonomous maritime platforms across undersea, surface, aerial, and satellite domains. This hands-on role involves building software-defined networking infrastructure, cross-domain transport solutions, and multinational classified network architectures that enable coordinated fleet operations in contested environments.

What you'll do

  • Design and implement network infrastructure, SDN control planes, and transport solutions for autonomous maritime systems
  • Build cross-domain connectivity spanning acoustic modems, tactical RF, satellite backhaul, and classified networks
  • Work cross-functionally with platform teams to integrate common interfaces and solve networking problems hands-on
  • Develop networking solutions for degraded environments including mesh networking, store-and-forward, and graceful link loss handling
  • Support operational exercises and at-sea demonstrations of integrated network capability
  • Architect multinational network solutions enabling classified data flow between US, Australian, and UK sovereign environments

What they're looking for

  • Network engineering and software-defined networking (SDN)
  • Distributed communications systems and protocol integration
  • Full network stack knowledge (physical layer, transport, orchestration)
  • Autonomous systems and unmanned platform networking
  • Military/defense networking (HAIPE, Type 1 crypto, cross-domain solutions)
  • Hands-on coding and infrastructure troubleshooting
  • Tactical RF, acoustic modem, and satellite communications
  • Performance testing and data-driven architecture decisions
