About this role

Anduril Industries seeks a Thermal Engineer to support the design and analysis of hypersonic unmanned air vehicles. You'll conduct thermal modeling, testing, and validation across the full development lifecycle, working with CFD, FEA, and first-principles analysis to solve complex high-speed flight thermal challenges.

What you'll do

  • Perform thermal analysis of unmanned air vehicles using CFD, FEA, and engineering methods across conceptual through detailed design phases
  • Conduct transient thermal analysis for time-varying mission profiles and material response under combined thermal and mechanical loads
  • Support ground test planning, execution, and analysis in specialized thermal facilities
  • Develop first-principles and MATLAB/Python models to inform design decisions
  • Collaborate with aerodynamics, structures, electrical, and systems teams on integrated solutions
  • Present thermal analysis results at design reviews and prepare technical specifications, test procedures, and reports
