Software Engineer, Infrastructure

About this role

Anrok is seeking an Infrastructure Software Engineer to design and operate the systems powering its tax automation platform. You'll drive reliability, security, and scalability initiatives while collaborating with engineers to solve complex infrastructure challenges across GCP, Postgres, and TypeScript.

What you'll do

• Ensure system reliability, security, scalability, and performance across Anrok's infrastructure
• Make technical decisions regarding infrastructure architecture and implementation
• Identify and remediate bugs, technical debt, and system inefficiencies
• Improve system observability and provide tools for product engineers
• Scale database layer through sharding, replication, and service decomposition
• Collaborate with engineers and management on high-impact infrastructure solutions

What they're looking for

• Software engineering (5+ years experience)
• Cloud deployment and infrastructure management at scale (5+ years)
• Configuration-as-code practices
• Relational database management
• Security-focused thinking and edge case analysis
• System design with attention to tradeoffs and maintenance
• GCP, Pulumi, Postgres, TypeScript
• AI experimentation and practical application
