Battery Storage Commissioning Engineer

About this role

ANS seeks a Battery Storage Commissioning Engineer to oversee utility-scale battery projects through the critical commissioning phase, ensuring designs and construction meet contractual and code requirements. You'll lead multi-stakeholder teams through 4-8+ months of testing and validation to prepare projects for grid operation and market participation.

What you'll do

• Lead commissioning activities and coordinate testing across utility-scale battery storage projects
• Verify project design and construction compliance with contracts, codes, and local requirements
• Develop comprehensive test plans and detailed documentation for project validation
• Manage stakeholder communications with utilities, contractors, manufacturers, and owners
• Sign off on mechanical completion and readiness for energization
• Evaluate project performance metrics against owner requirements for grid operation
