Field Services Engineer

About this role

Anthropic seeks a Field Services Engineer to deploy and maintain network infrastructure across multiple U.S. sites, manage vendor relationships for fiber optic and telecom work, and build scalable operational processes. This role combines hands-on infrastructure work with process development, requiring 40-60% travel and direct impact on systems powering Claude.

What you'll do

• Deploy, maintain, and commission network infrastructure across multiple sites
• Oversee fiber optic and long-haul repair vendors, validate work quality, and ensure SLA compliance
• Install and configure network devices (switches, routers, optics) with commissioning support
• Manage RMA workflows end-to-end and coordinate spares inventory across locations
• Build repeatable processes and playbooks to scale team operations
• Conduct physical asset audits and lifecycle tracking from installation through decommissioning
