About this role
Anthropic is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to oversee the design, qualification, and production of servers, racks, and accelerator systems at contract manufacturing partners. You'll own end-to-end manufacturing processes, lead line bring-ups, and drive yield and cost improvements in a fast-paced HPC data center environment with up to 50% travel.
What you'll do
- Design and document assembly, rack integration, and test processes including work instructions, layouts, and cycle time targets
- Lead new line and site bring-ups at manufacturing partners from validation through mass production release
- Specify, source, and validate tooling, fixtures, and test equipment for production lines
- Own first-pass yield, cycle time, and process capability; analyze failure data and drive corrective actions
- Provide design-for-manufacturing and design-for-test feedback during product development
- Qualify process and engineering changes including PFMEA updates and operator training before implementation
