About this role
Anthropic seeks a Product Engineer to own manufacturing quality and operations for custom AI hardware (servers, racks, accelerators) from development through mass production at contract manufacturers and ODM partners. This hands-on role involves process audits, yield optimization, engineering changes, root-cause analysis, and cross-functional leadership with up to 50% travel to factory sites.
What you'll do
- Own technical quality and readiness of hardware products at manufacturing partners from early builds through mass production
- Audit assembly and test processes, set yield targets, and approve production transitions
- Lead root-cause investigations on field failures and manufacturing gaps, driving corrective actions with partners
- Manage engineering changes across manufacturers including BOM updates, validation, and field monitoring
- Scale manufacturing across multiple lines and sites while maintaining yield and throughput commitments
- Integrate manufacturing and test data into design review cycles to prioritize fixes before each build
