EMC Engineer

Los Angeles, CA$110k–$170kfulltimemidAdded 2 days ago

About this role

AnySignal seeks an EMC Engineer to lead electromagnetic environmental effects (E3) analysis, testing, and mitigation for advanced RF products serving space and defense missions. You'll conduct physics-based design and validation across board, subsystem, and system levels while collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams.

What you'll do

  • Define E3 requirements through physics-based modeling and simulation rather than standards compliance alone
  • Develop and own electromagnetic environmental effects analysis, mitigation strategies, and testing across LEO to deep space environments
  • Design and execute EMI/EMC test campaigns, managing requirements flow-down with external test facilities
  • Build internal tools, databases, and automated test frameworks for effects and mitigation tracking
  • Represent EMI/EMC engineering in design reviews, trade studies, and program milestones
  • Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, DSP, software, and test engineers to architect resilient designs

What they're looking for

  • Electromagnetic environmental effects (E3) and EMC/EMI engineering
  • Radio test equipment operation (spectrum analyzers, vector signal analyzers, network analyzers)
  • Python or MATLAB programming and scripting
  • MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, and EMC standards knowledge
  • RF engineering and electrical circuit analysis
  • EMI/EMC troubleshooting from component to system level
  • Requirements definition and test campaign design
