NPI Manufacturing Engineer
About this role
Join Apex as an NPI Manufacturing Engineer to develop scalable manufacturing processes and production methodologies for advanced satellite buses supporting a classified government program. You'll drive the transition from development builds to production ramp, partnering across design, supply chain, quality, and production teams to ensure efficient, manufacturable spacecraft systems.
What you'll do
- Support NPI execution and manufacturing as programs transition from development through production ramp
- Provide DFM/DFA feedback during concept development, PDR, CDR, and release phases
- Develop production methodologies and process flows for medium-to-high-rate spacecraft manufacturing
- Lead factory development including workflow definition, line design, GSE planning, and equipment integration
- Define assembly strategies, tooling concepts, work instructions, and production readiness plans
- Collaborate with supply chain, production, and quality teams to meet cost, quality, reliability, and rate targets
