Civil Engineer, Land Development

About this role

Apex Companies seeks a Civil Engineer for their Somerset, PA office to design and manage land development projects across mining, power generation, and commercial sectors. You'll work alongside experienced mentors on diverse projects while developing your technical and leadership skills within a rapidly growing national firm.

What you'll do

• Design civil engineering solutions including site layout, grading, stormwater management, and utility planning
• Prepare and review technical plans, specifications, cost estimates, and project reports
• Coordinate with project managers on scheduling, budgeting, and task management
• Obtain permits and approvals by coordinating with local, state, and federal agencies
• Attend client and contractor meetings to document action items and facilitate communication
• Maintain project records, budgets, and progress tracking in internal systems
