Environmental Engineer

About this role

Apex Companies seeks an Environmental Engineer with 4+ years of remediation experience to lead soil and groundwater remediation projects in their Signal Hill, CA office. You'll oversee system design, operation, and optimization while managing field teams and ensuring regulatory compliance on complex environmental projects.

What you'll do

• Lead soil and groundwater remediation projects from field execution through reporting
• Oversee operation and maintenance of remediation systems including groundwater extraction, soil vapor extraction, and thermal treatment
• Support remedial system design, modifications, and performance optimization
• Manage field work compliance with work plans, permits, and regulations (AQMD, SWPPP, WDR)
• Direct field technicians and troubleshoot systems to maximize uptime
• Prepare technical reports, regulatory submittals, and proposals
