National Service Line Leader – Infrastructure (Water/Wastewater + Civil/Transportation)

About this role

Apex is seeking a strategic National Service Line Leader to build and execute a nationwide infrastructure strategy spanning water/wastewater, civil, and transportation engineering. This remote role reports to the Chief Growth Officer and will unify existing teams, drive growth through modern delivery models (including AI-enabled workflows and engineering centers), and translate federal/state funding landscapes into client demand and winning strategies.

What you'll do

• Develop and execute a national infrastructure strategy that accelerates growth across water, wastewater, civil, and transportation services
• Unify and coordinate existing infrastructure teams into a high-performing national capability while supporting regional P&L leaders
• Build and scale US-based engineering centers and communities of practice to improve efficiency, quality, and delivery consistency
• Champion AI and digital enablement initiatives to transform design, QA/QC, and project delivery processes
• Monitor and translate federal/state regulatory mandates and funding programs (formula, SRF, grants) into client demand and win strategies
• Support recruiting and retention of technical leaders and seller-doers in priority disciplines and geographies
